Prayer: THE SEARCH FOR WISDOM The wisdom of this world many times chooses to omit the existence of God, and ignore the very Creator of the world. By doing that, the conclusions that are reached are based on a false premise. Those with much education and research, who do not acknowledge God and His power, in the end will find they have made a huge omission of the truth. The fool has said in his heart, ‘there is no God.’ Psalm 14:1 Accepting the truth of the Bible as the word of God, brings new light and understanding, not available to those who reject it. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways” says the LORD, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8, 9 It may be convenient for a time to discount and suppress the truth of the Bible, but in the end, the most important evidence is overlooked. Job found this out when he questioned God. He had to acknowledge that his assumed knowledge and that of his friends, was a drop of water compared to the ocean of truth of the Creator and Sustainer of life! (Job 39–41) Some who profess to be wise refuse to accept the wisdom of God. Since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal Power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God… Romans 1:20, 21 Choose first of all to accept the wisdom of God. As you humble yourself before God, and accept his creative power and might since the beginning, you will stand firm in the knowledge that His plan is true. This is the beginning of true wisdom. The Bible is the truth. Read the Bible with the desire to know the truth. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 Joyfully, Joyce
