Dedicated to: All servicemen and families

Prayer: GREATER LOVE The Bible states that “greater love has no one than this than to lay down one’s live for his friends.” John 15:13 This is seen so clearly on the battlefield. Young men, fully focused and dedicated, would take the step to protect his fellow members. They are brothers. They are the closest family. They cover for one another, and when one dies, they all grieve. The families who have sent their young men and young women out to protect their country, are also part of the sacrifice. They have lost their own flesh and blood. Their prayers were with their sons and daughters every moment they were gone. They knew the task was dangerous. They prayed. But they also stood with pride that their loved one was willing to go. Now they have a lifetime of remembering and loving, and knowing that the ultimate sacrifice was made. They stand closely to the families and their loved ones who did come back. They stand near to the ones who have disabling injuries. Their country also salutes with pride. They will all be remembered. They will not be forgotten. Each family has had a part in that life and that sacrifice. Each one brought us closer to a stronger freedom, and a great nation. God also understands the sacrifice. When God came to earth in the person of man, named Jesus, there was a price that was to be paid. The life that was given was “ONCE FOR ALL.” (Romans 6:10) Jesus Christ, God in flesh, became the complete sacrifice for all the sins of the world. Once for all means it does not need to be repeated. Once for all means that it is complete. Once for all, means that all benefit from that death. Once for all means that the debt is paid in full! That is the greatest gift of all. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should Not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 It was that substitute, that made the difference for every person. You can accept that gift and that sacrifice for yourself. You can find that freedom that God offers through Jesus, and you can find new life and focus through a Life that was given for you. Just as we honor the fallen in our country who served so bravely, so we honor the One who gave Himself for all. No greater love! Joyfully, Joyce
