Prayer: RELATIONSHIP How would you describe your relationship with God your Father? Have you come to the point of speaking to Him daily? Are you searching the word of God for new ways to learn about Him? God has opened His arms to you, given you the opportunity to have all of your sins completely forgiven by His sacrifice through Jesus Christ. He has written the eternal document of your adoption into His family. What are you waiting for! There are several words in the New Testament that should describe your quest to know God better. The first word is: diligence. Diligence means you are focused, you are working hard to learn. You are not slowing down until you have reached your goal. Be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless. 2 Peter 3:14 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end. Hebrews 6:11 Give yourself diligently to know God, to be acquainted with Him, as He is with you. Use diligence in your desire to receive Godís blessings, and know His will. Next, you need to pursue: love, peace, the knowledge of God, righteousness. Pursue means that you are determined, you are searching out the truth, you will not stop until you are satisfied that you have found what you are looking for. When you pursue the things that God has for you, you will be on a determined quest to know Godís love. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 1 Timothy 6:11 The word fervent, describes one who is emotionally involved. There is intense feeling and devotion. Your love for God should be fervent and committed. When you give your heart and soul to responding to the love God is giving, you are fully satisfied. Finally, consider the word, zealous. God is zealous over you. His love overflows in multiple blessings. You response should be a zeal for your Father as well. That He might purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. Titus 2:14 Pursue. Be diligent. Be fervent. Be zealous. Enjoy the journey. Joyfully, Joyce
