Prayer: WHAT HAS THE LORD DONE The word LORD (all in caps) is used often in the Old Testament. The Hebrew word is JHWH. Our term is, Jehovah. It is a holy name for God. The religious Jews would not even pronounce the name, and wrote it without vowels because it was too holy for them to speak. What does the Bible say about the LORD? What has He done? In Genesis 2 it states that the LORD God created Adam. He created the garden in Eden and planted the beautiful trees there. He also formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air. Then He created Eve for Adam. In you find that the LORD respected the gift that Abel brought. The LORD blessed Noah, and made a covenant with Abraham. He command David, and spoke to Moses. Isaiah 42:5 states that the LORD God created the heavens and the earth. He is LORD of the harvest, and of the heavens. He counts the stars and knows their names. He is King forever and ever; the king of glory. He is a sun and a shield, the Most High and clothed with majesty. The LORD is merciful, gracious, full of compassion, mighty in power. He is the true God, the living God. As a child of God, The LORD is your shepherd, your king and your God. He is your light, your strength and shield. He is your refuge, your helper and your rock. He is your song, your salvation, your Redeemer and your Father. I, even I, am the LORD, And besides Me there is no savior. How blessed you are to be so personally related to the LORD of heaven and earth. When you believe on Jesus as your Savior, and that God raised Him from the dead, you are adopted into the family of God. Your life is changed and transformed as you repent and receive. Know that the LORD God of heaven and earth loves you and is with you. Joyfully, Joyce
