Prayer: MY SHEPHERD It is a wonderful thing to have a personal shepherd. Often you may feel like a lost lamb that needs to be cared for. It is not only that the path is difficult, it may even be hard to find the right direction. But a shepherd knows the way home. Psalm 23 is such a wonderful assurance. “The LORD is my shepherd…” When the LORD is in charge, the sheep do not have to find green pastures or still waters, they are led to that place. You can place your complete trust in the Shepherd. You are led, fed, watered, protected, and finally taken home. Your soul rests content. The LORD is watchful, tender, loving. Whether young or old, all your needs are cared for with gentleness. There is warmth when you are with the Shepherd. You can snuggle safely in His arms. He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those who are with young. Isaiah 40:11 The sheep know the voice of their shepherd, and you also know the voice of your Shepherd. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice. John 10:4 Jesus said: I am the good shepherd, and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. John 10:14 There is passionate protection for you against all evil and danger. The Shepherd stands strong to protect His sheep. Your Good Shepherd gave His life for you – so that you could live with Him forever. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. John 10:11 Thank God today for the special place you have every day with your loving Shepherd. Joyfully, Joyce
