Prayer: WHERE DO YOU BELONG Many of Godís people in the Old Testament did a lot of moving. They moved to a new location. They helped to build a city. They wandered for forty years until they could get to the promised land. Perhaps you long for a better place to live. Location is important. Your neighborhood makes a difference. Abraham was led to the land that God had promised him. Yet he was not content to accept his location as a substitute for his heavenly home. For he waited for the city which has foundations whose builder and maker is God. Hebrews 11:10 Descendents of Abraham also confessed: that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Hebrews 11:13 They were seeking a heavenly country Ė a homeland that God had promised. Are you looking for the ideal spot to live? How do you envision it in your mind? Where do you want to locate? You have a promise to cling to that God has a perfect place for you in heaven. What you have here on earth is nothing to compare with what God has planned for you. For our citizenship is in heaven from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:20 Jesus has promised that he is preparing a place for you. He has promised that He will come and receive you and take you there. John 14:2,3 As a believer, your name is written there. You are already registered in heaven. You are part of Jesusí family. No matter where you live here on earth, consider it temporary. It is not equal to the wonderful home waiting for you in heaven. Joyfully, Joyce
