Prayer: LET THERE BE LIGHT The Bible says that God is light and there is no darkness in Him at all. How wonderful it is to have light to see your way clearly. As long as you have light you may continue on your path and not stumble or get lost. You need light also for your spiritual journey. Jesus provides that light for you. For it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness Who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 4:6 You have that spiritual light when you trust in Jesus Christ. The Bible speaks of Jesus as the “true Light which gives light to every man,” John 1:9. Jesus also said of Himself, I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life. John 8:12 Which would you choose for yourself – light to see your way, or to be in darkness and not be able to find the right path. Some choose darkness because of their evil deeds which would be exposed. God does not want you to be in darkness. That is why He has commanded the light to shine. Jesus is the Light. You have the right and the privilege of making the choice. Once you choose the light, then you can sing with the psalmist: The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear. Joyfully, Joyce
