Prayer: LOVE ONE ANOTHER You called upon to care for your Christian brothers and sisters. Your love must extend to them, to encourage and uplift them. In I John 4:20, you are told that if you do not love your brother, you cannot possibly love God. How important it is to be able to encourage and reach out to those who are having a hard time with their Christian life. That is the time when your friendship really counts. You cannot ignore the issues that your friends are facing. Your encouragement is such that you may be able to be a rescuer. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:3,4 You must care enough to confront when necessary. Your love and your humble attitude will help a brother or sister avoid pitfalls along the way. Each Christian undergoes trials and temptations. Others have helped you in your struggles, and you can return that kindness by helping one who needs it. Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one anotherís burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:1,2 How blessed you are to have mentors in your life, those who have helped you up when you were down. You have role models who show you the way, help you focus on the Word of God, guide you in your prayer life. You have not made it this far alone, but many have been a guiding light, many have prayed over you even when you did not know it. God expects you to care for those in you circle as well. Brethren, if any among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death, and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:19, 20 Encourage as many in your group as you can. Return the blessings you have received from others. Joyfully, Joyce
