Prayer: SING TO THE LORD It is wonderful to find words of praise in the Bible. Often it warms your heart just to say them over and over. It is even better to find that many of those precious words have been set to music. Psalm 9:2 states, ‘I will sing praise to Your name, O most High.’ Then it continues in verse 11, ‘Sing praises to the Lord, Who dwells in Zion.’ Again in Psalm 47:6, ‘Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King. Sing praises!’ I am sure that you can find many more. Song writers over the years have found the inspiration and the joy of the Lord in adding tunes to the words of praise in the Bible. So it is that through the Psalms and the choruses that have been inspired by them, you can praise Your God. Be exalted O Lord, above the heavens Let Your glory be over all the earth. Psalm 108:5 Not to us but to Your name be the glory. Psalm 115:1 I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall Continually be in my mouth… Psalm 34:1 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation… Psalm 5:1 You, O Lord, are a shield about me, You’re my glory, You’re the lifter of my head. Psalm 3:3 This is the day that the Lord has made. Psalm 118:24 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless, Bless Ye the Lord. Psalm 134:1,2 Let the Word fill you with praise and honor to God. Praise lifts your heart. Praise turns your focus on Jesus. Praise is the expression of a grateful heart thanking God for His mercy and His grace and His goodness. Heaven is going to be a wonderful place as you are able to sing praises with all the saints. Let everything that hath breath Praise the Lord! Psalm 150:6 Joyfully, Joyce
