Prayer: THE GLORY OF GOD How wonderful it is to reflect on the glory of God. That is what David did very often when he was writing or singing the Psalms. He spoke of the Lord as My glory, and the One who lifts up my head. Psalm 3:3 In majesty, David depicts the King coming in through the gates, and He is called The King of glory! Psalm 24:7. Glory speaks of the splendor and power of God. It speaks of His greatness and strength – of His person as the Creator of heaven and earth. Almighty and all powerful God! When you give glory to God, you acknowledge that the One who controls all nature, the One who can still the mighty sea and great winds, is the One who loves you and delivers you and comforts you. This is the highest praise you can give to God, to give GLORY to God. This is to confirm with your voice, the truth of Who God IS! Glory signifies the very essence and presence of God. Give unto the Lord glory and strength…the glory due His name. Psalm 29:1 Let Your glory be above all the earth. Psalm 57:5 Blessed be His glorious name forever; and let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Psalm 72:19 And in His temple everyone says, Glory! Psalm 29:9 Shout GLORY! The Creator of the universe is the God who loves you! Joyfully, Joyce
