Prayer: TRUST HIS WISDOM There were times when Jesus was falsely accused. The things that were said were bad, hurtful, mean, wrong and evil. Jesus knew the statements misrepresented Him in every way. How Jesus responded is a model for you. Jesus kept silent. (before the High Priest) Matthew 26:63 He answered nothing. (before Pilate) Matthew 27:12 But He answered him nothing. (before Herod) Luke 23:9 Jesus gave His teaching on how to respond to accusers. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, Do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44 Is that the way you want to respond to false accusations? If you follow Jesus’ teaching, you will find a new way to deal with difficult times. It takes humility, trust in what God is telling you to do and he will give you patience to endure. It takes a calm and quiet spirit and a determination to be in agreement with the Word. That is what you are called to do. The blessings and the results are well worth the effort. When you reply defensively and strike out in anger, you are under your accuser’s control. When you react in the way God tells you, you are under His control. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; For it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” If your enemy is hungry, feed him, If he is thirsty, give him a drink… Romans 12:19, 20 Bring your hurt and pain to God. Admit and confess your 5% wrong in any matter. Then let God deal with your enemies. You belong to Him. He is a good protector and defender. You are in good hands. Joyfully, Joyce
