Prayer: How amazing it is to think of being able to have a friendship with God. Moses and the Lord spoke as friends in the tabernacle. Exodus 33:11. How awesome that must have been. Abraham is referred to as God's friend forever. Isaiah 41:8. What a privilege. God offers each one of us the privilege of His friendship. God asks for your friendship. God encourages your friendship. God desires your friendship. Best friends share secrets. John 15:15 Jesus says that all things he heard from the Father He has made known to us. I Corinthians 2:10 tells us that God has revealed the deep things of God to us through the Spirit. Best friends talk a lot. Reading the Bible allows you to hear from God and know His will. Sharing with Him daily your intimate thoughts gives you that close relationship between friends. Talking with God can be an ongoing conversation with Him throughout the day's activities. Best friends share good times and bad. Matthew 11:28 states: Come to Me, all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Hebrews 13:5 states, I will never leave you nor forsake you. Best friends look out for one another and put each other first. John 15:13 tells you, Greater love has no man than this, than to lay down his life for his friend. That is what Jesus did for you. Best friends are loyal. Proverbs 18:24 states, There is a Friend who sticks closer than a brother. Will you accept the offer to be best friends with God? Talk to Him today. Joyfully, Joyce
