Dedicated to: All servicemen and families

Prayer: There is a wonderful scripture that gives all Christians their service call, their mission statement, their purpose. God chooses our location and our time in this world. And you were born for such a time as this. Who you are and where you are is all a part of God's amazing plan. What you do now is up to you. You make the choice to say, Yes Lord! It is easy to get caught up in the circumstances where you do not want to be and did not choose. You may miss opportunities to serve God there. Do not focus on the events but on the purpose. Look around you. Who needs a touch of God's love. Isaiah 61:1 states: "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has appointed me to preach good tidings to the meek, he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound." Do the poor around you need the message of hope? Are there those you see who are held captive emotionally? Do you recognize the broken-hearted that need healing? Can you find those who are held prisoner by sin and despair? You are the light reflecting Jesus. You are the one to share the good tidings. Through your love, Jesus can give: "Beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." Look around you. Accept the call. Joyfully, Joyce
