Prayer: Dear Lord, please be with all of our soldiers who are challenged by the geography of being far away from their families and loved ones when problems and challenges arise back home. I pray that they will receive wise counsel, support and prayers as they go through their times of difficulty and anxiety. You know how they long to be able to be home to deal with these problems. Give them clear and dependable means of communication, friends and relatives back home who can help them and chaplains who can guide them with the spiritual strength they need. Sustain them, give them your hope and help them hold firm to your promises. In Your Word you promise, "No one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life." (Luke 18:29,30) Thank you for their sacrifices, Lord. Amen.
