Prayer: Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:1-5 The first Protestant missionaries to Myanmar (Burma) were Adoniram and Ann Judson, who arrived from the U.S. in 1813. ..Adoniram spent 17 months in a Burmese prison, subjected to torture… Adoniram Judson’s son Edward once said, ”Suffering and success go together. If you are succeeding without suffering, it is because others before you have suffered; if you are suffering without succeeding it is that others after you may succeed.” The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary and his understanding no one can fathom…but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40: 28b, 31 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
